Support of Community Hearts is a dedicated organization serving Stellenbosch and its surrounding areas, committed to fostering positive change and holistic development within our communities. Our focus spans across various critical areas including youth development, addressing gender-based violence, providing support for the elderly, nurturing differently-abled children and elders, and promoting education through scholarship programs.

The primary goal of Support of Community Hearts, is to foster holistic community development by providing essential support services, empowerment opportunities, and advocating for the well-being and rights of all individuals, particularly focusing on youth, elderly, differently-abled individuals, and victims of gender-based violence.

Our latest focus centers on combating gender-based violence, providing educational support, and empowering differently-abled members within our community.

Gender-based violence

Support of Community Hearts employs a multifaceted approach to prevent gender-based violence in the community.

1. Awareness & Education: We aim to conduct awareness campaigns and educational programs to inform the community about the root causes and consequences of gender-based violence. Theses initiatives aim to challenge harmful attitudes and beliefs while promoting gender equality and respect for all individuals.

2. Support Services: We provide support services for survivors of gender-based violence, including counseling, legal assistance, and access to safe shelters. By offering a safe and confidential space for survivors to seek help, we empower them to break the cycle of violence and rebuild their lives

3. Engaging Men & Boys: We recognize the importance of engaging men and boys as allies in the fight against gender-based violence. Through workshops, support groups, and community outreach, we encourage men and women to challenge traditional gender norms, promote healthy relationships, and become advocates for gender equality.
